It's here! I finally got a space to do my summer camp! It isn't our permanent home but we are still going to have a camp. We are still working on trying to find a permanent home but in the mean time we are thankful to Saunders Funeral Home for allowing us to use a building they own that is just sitting there! I just hope and pray now that people will sign up their kids. I have had a lot of parents ask if I was having a camp and now that I am I haven't had anyone sign up yet but that's ok! I am keeping hope alive! If there is one thing I am it is persistent! I don't give up that easy!
Well, today was the last performance of Spelling Bee. It is bittersweet. I have some seniors who will be leaving me this year and I have been working with some of them for almost 3 years. There was a lot of tears shed and emotions everywhere but the cast had a great show and standing ovations all 3 nights which were well deserved. I am so proud of them. I don't think they know how much they inspire me and remind me of why I do what I do.
So much has been going on these last couple of weeks! Our theatre classes are going well. I found some great new talent in our Broadway After Dark auditions and Spelling Bee opens next weekend! I am excited about Spelling Bee. Especially since we need audience volunteers. I just hope someone signs up! Lol. The show is so much fun though! After that is over I don't really have much of a break but that's ok. I love theatre and I could do it 7 days a week. Actually, I do do it 7 days a week! Lol!
