Well, Broadway After Dark is over now. It is bittersweet as most ending of shows are. I had a fantastic time working with this cast! The best part is that everyone got along! They are ready to do another show. I would definitely do the show again if I had my own theatre. I could run it for about 2 or 3 weekends but for now, we have to stick with just the one. Baby steps. Now I prepare for National Night Out next week and my audition workshop. I am excited about this fall/winter. I believe that we are really going to make our mark here in Jacksonville this year!

Well, I was dealt a huge blow the other day. Unfortunately, I can't use the space that was donated to us. It was taken back. I feel embarrassed and sad because I have been asking for donations and doing fundraisers and now I have to tell everyone about what happened and see what they say. I guess my biggest fear is that people won't support us in the future. I hope everyone understands that this was beyond my control and it wasn't anything that I did. I just had the rug pulled out from under me. So, I am back to square one which is looking for another space. In the meantime, I am still going to use the recreation centers and I am so thankful that they let me do that. So if you know of a space that is either super duper cheap or can be donated, please let me know!
Ok! My announcement is.....we have a studio space! Yay! I am teaming up with the non profit organization YES which stands for Youth, Empowerment and Success. The founder of that organization has donated a space to our company and in exchange I will be helping the youth in her program! However, the building needs some work. So we are writing various companies to see if they will help us and donate materials like sheet rock, paint, furniture, decorations, etc. So far we have had donations from Target and Walmart so it is a start! I'm hoping to have an open house
